17. ročník AFC Futsal Asian Cup se uzavřel v Bangkoku v Thajsku, kde zvítězil Írán. Írán triumfoval nad Thajskem v elektrizujícím finále v poměru 4:1. Díky této výhře si Írán zajistil již 13. titul na AFC Futsal Asian Cup a také prodloužil svůj rekord jako nejúspěšnější tým v historii turnaje.
Během 11denní soutěže potvrdil Írán svou dominanci na futsalovém hřišti a vstřelil celkem úctyhodných 25 gólů. Jejich výkon nechává žádných pochyb o tom, že jsou nejlepším týmem v Asii, pokud jde o pětičlennou verzi fotbalu.
