Ghana’s Futsal National Team has started their preparations for the upcoming Futsal Africa Cup of Nations with their first training session at the Salle Couverte Ibn Kaldoun in Mohammedia, Morocco. Under the guidance of Coach Philip Boakye and his technical team, all 14 players actively participated in the training session.
The team’s arrival in Morocco earlier on Thursday marked the beginning of their acclimatization process and continued preparations for the tournament. The Futsal Africa Cup of Nations is scheduled to take place from April 11-21, 2024, in the city of Rabat.
Ghana finds itself in Group A, alongside tournament hosts Morocco, Angola, and Zambia. Their campaign will kick off with a match against Zambia, followed by matches against Morocco and subsequent opponents.
The competition holds high stakes for the participating teams, as the top three teams will qualify for the 2024 Futsal World Cup to be held in Uzbekistan. This opportunity to secure a spot in the prestigious global event adds an extra level of motivation and determination for Ghana’s Futsal National Team.

Ghanský národní tým ve futsalu zahájil přípravy na nadcházející africký pohár národů ve futsalu svým prvním tréninkem v hale Salle Couverte Ibn Kaldoun v Mohammedii, Maroko. Ve vedení trenéra Philipa Boakyeho a jeho technického týmu se aktivně účastnilo všech 14 hráčů tréninku.
Tým přicestoval do Maroka ve čtvrtek, čímž začal proces aklimatizace a další přípravy na turnaj. Africký pohár národů ve futsalu je naplánován na období od 11. do 21. dubna 2024 ve městě Rabat.
Ghana se nachází ve skupině A spolu s pořadateli turnaje Marokem, Angolou a Zambií. Jejich kampaň odstartuje zápasem proti Zambii, následovaným zápasy proti Maroku a dalším soupeřům.
